Spectrum Brands’ leading car care brand, ARMOR ALL®, is proud to be associated with the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. In 2018, the ARMOR ALL® Pole Award will again be a highlight of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship with ARMOR ALL® extending its deal with the category for a record 14th consecutive season.

The announcement sees ARMOR ALL® as the longest serving Major Sponsor of the Supercars Championship after originally becoming the Official Car Care Products Sponsor in 2005.

ARMOR ALL® has awarded more than $1 million in prize money to the top qualifiers through ARMOR ALL® Qualifying, the ARMOR ALL® Pole Position Award and the ARMOR ALL® Top Ten Shootout at every Supercars Championship event since March 2005.

The brand will continue as the Official Car Care Products Sponsor and Naming Rights Sponsor of ARMOR ALL® Qualifying and Pole Award for both the Supercars Championship and Dunlop Super 2 Series.

Paul Blair, General Manager, Spectrum Brands, Global Auto Care Division, Asia Pacific, said everyone involved with ARMOR ALL® was excited to once again be closely aligned with the region’s leading motorsport category.

“ARMOR ALL® stands for high quality and performance, just like the Supercars Championship.” said Mr. Blair.

“ARMOR ALL® and Spectrum Brands have a long and proud history in motorsport across the globe and the Supercars ARMOR ALL® Pole Award is one of the most instantly recognisable sponsorships.”

Supercars Managing Director, Matt Braid, welcomed the renewal of ARMOR ALL® which he described as a long standing and fantastic partner of the sport.

“ARMOR ALL® has been a wonderful partner of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship for 14 years, one of our longest and most valuable partnerships,” Mr. Braid said.

“The ARMOR ALL® Pole Award is a valuable part of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and something the teams and drivers really cherish and we are delighted to have the ARMOR ALL® team on board for 2018.”

Overall, 28 drivers have accepted a Pole Position cheque from the ARMOR ALL® team and Arnie the ARMOR ALL® mascot in Pit Lane.

Scott McLaughlin has dominated ARMOR ALL® Qualifying in 2017 and already wrapped up the year’s ARMOR ALL® Pole Champion Award. McLaughlin has already taken 13 ARMOR ALL® Pole Positions this year, including 7 in a row when he claimed the ARMOR ALL® Pole Champion Award for 2017.
